But the discount still has to be justified. Reduced fares for age, for students, for passengers with a disability: each is an entitlement somebody has to establish, and each is worth claiming falsely.
The answer is proportionality. Passengers who can be confirmed from existing data do not need an upload. Where the data does not resolve, the flow asks for the additional evidence needed. The check runs once at subscription rather than at every journey.
